Introduction:
Shakyamuni, also known as the "Historical Buddha," was the founder of Buddhism and is revered as the supreme teacher of the faith. He renounced his privileged life and embarked on a quest for enlightenment, ultimately achieving enlightenment through the practice of meditation. He is often depicted in art and literature as a wise and compassionate figure, seated in meditation posture and holding a begging bowl.
